Terror Punk Syndicate is an electronic music project from Örebro, Sweden, led by John David Karlgren with various contributors. The project began as a duo band in the summer of 2002, but became Karlgren's solo-only project just two years later, due to some problems. TPS has released one demo in 50 copies, made several compilation appearances in both USA and Europe, and on 19 September 2007, the debut album Extended Playtime is finally released after three years of production.
The name Terror Punk Syndicate was suggested by a band name generator, programmed from scratch by Karlgren for the sole purpose of coming up with something that "sounded cool" and somewhat futuristic. It currently has no other significant meaning or deeper purpose.
Extended Playtime
For the past three years, Karlgren has been struggling to finish what started as a planned EP. Originally, there were only
four tracks planned to be recorded and released, but after music label Progress Productions picked up TPS in may 2006, this
EP quickly turned into a planned full album instead. Tracks were added, polished, re-recorded, and some were even removed
completely. But after many months and many late hours, it is now finally ready. And on 19 September this year, you'll be
able to hold it in your hands.

Studio Stök is the private studio of Karlgren and has basically existed since the purchase of a previously owned Yamaha DX7 synthesizer in late 2002. The studio has since grown bigger with more gear and gadgets. "Stök" means "mess" in swedish, and that pretty much describes in what condition the whole thing is. It is where all music by Terror Punk Syndicate has been written, recorded and mixed since the very beginning.
